I’m Marlon, a PADI Freediver Instructor Trainer, qualified Trainer Assessor, award-winning Tourism Operator and I deliver PADI RTO Snorkel Guide courses across VIC, SA, NSW, TAS, WA and QLD to build the snorkelling skills and core foundations required to lead as confident and professional snorkel guides.
On this Snorkel Guide Supervisor course you will be enrolled in a VET level qualification.
Successful completion results in the award of SISOSNK002 Lead snorkelling activities Statement of Attainment that can contribute to a TAFE certificate in Outdoor Leadership.
There are no ongoing annual renewal fees or membership payments associated with this certification.
Training is delivered by PADI Asia Pacific Pty Ltd (RTO #6729).
Prerequisites:
A candidate must be at least 18 years old and have completed First Aid training within 24 months.

SNORKEL GUIDE
Through the training students learn about their role and responsibilities, how to organise snorkel excursions, emergency care and safety considerations, and how to emphasise the need for snorkelers to care for the aquatic environment.
Water skills, stamina, snorkel/skin diving skills and rescue abilities are developed and evaluated. Role-playing workshops involving briefings and simulated tour guiding ensure a thorough opportunity to develop the confidence for real-world guiding.

The booking process is designed to align with corporate and government procurement workflows:

You will be learning from an instructor with 10 years experience in teaching snorkelling, freediving and breathwork who can share the tips, tricks and secrets that only come from doing the job itself, as a snorkel guide.

How long is the course?
The course includes at least:
2x classroom sessions
1x pool training session (confined water)
1x open water training session
1 x exam
Are there any prerequisites to attend?
In order to attend and complete the SISOSNK002 Lead snorkelling activities course, all prerequisites must be completed in accordance with the ASQA Nationally Recognised training course associated with that level.
The items are:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Hold SISOSNK001 Snorkel Statement of Attainment, or a certification of PADI Freediver, PADI Skindiver, OR, qualifying certification and/or experience in snorkelling skills (NB: SISOSNK001 Snorkel is provided as part of this Snorkel Guide training course)
Have completed a First Aid course (eg EFR Primary and Secondary Care) training course within 24 months, or hold a Statement of Attainment in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid within 24 months. If the qualification is over 12 months old, a current HLTAID009 Provide CPR is also required.

What gear and equipment is needed for the course?
Proof of Identification / ID: eg Drivers Licence, Passport
Unique Student Identifier (USI): To register on the RTO course and receive your Statement of Attainment
First Aid certification evidence (digital/electronic)
Pool / Open Water
Pool: Swimwear and 3-5mm wetsuit, towel, mask, snorkel, fins, weightbelt
Open Water: Swimwear and 5mm wetsuit, towel, mask, snorkel, fins, weightbelt, sun protection
*We recommend thicker 5mm wetsuits for the in-water training. As we spend extended time in the water, you may get cold more quickly than you’re used to.
How long until certificates are received?
Special requests can be made to fast-track release in 24-48 hours (additional fees may apply).
Does cancellation and refund policy apply?
These policies are in place to ensure you, our customer, receive the highest level of service and quality instruction. As class sizes are limited, all cancellation / rescheduling deadlines will be strictly adhered to. All cancellations must be received via letter or email.
Verbal cancellations are not accepted. Cancelling a course close to commencement date affects everybody on the course. Cancelling or changing a course should be considered a last resort.
Payments
All customers are requested to confirm booking payments in full in advance of the event date. Full payment for courses ensures participant registration on the course selected. Participation may be denied to any Participant that has not completed full payment before the scheduled event and any refunds will be considered under the Cancellations Policy.
· All fees are non-refundable. Refunds are only available if a cancellation is actioned by The Provider due to unplanned or unforeseen circumstances. These programs are highly time intensive for our team and provide for very limited places. Once you have made a payment and it has been received you cannot ask for your money back under any circumstances. It is for this reason you are highly recommended to purchase appropriate travel insurance to cover you in case of an unforeseen need to cancel.
Cancellations
A company or individual may cancel a booking or by submitting a WRITTEN NOTICE via e-mail or letter.
Request for Amendments
· If you would like to request a change of date or suspend your booking, you may request to do so within 1 month but more than 7 days before the scheduled starting date of the booking. You may suspend your booking for up to 12 months, after which it is forfeited. A $100 re-booking fee will apply.
· If you would like to request a change of date within 7 days before the scheduled starting date of the booking, a 100% cancellation fee will apply to any company or individual. A cancellation fee will be based on the full cost of the booking at time of purchase
No Shows
If a company or individual does not attend a booking and does not provide notice, the company or individual will incur a 100% “no-show” fee.
Course Late Arrivals
In the event of late attendance, bookings will begin at the scheduled time. Under no circumstances does an experience wait for a late Participant. Late Participants may not be allowed onto the booking or may miss it entirely.
All refunds and cancellation fees will be administered at the sole discretion of The Provider management.
