On a Summer’s day late afternoon I drove the Land Rover Discovery 4 out for an exploration of this magnificent area and stopped along the way to discover the walking trails available. An opportunity to immerse in an ancient world.
The Errinundra National Park Forest in far East Gippsland, in Victoria, Australia protects the state’s largest remaining stand of cool-temperate rainforest and ancient, tall eucalypt forests. The park represents a significant remnant of Gondwana rainforest.

It was with delight that I returned to Hobart and Eaglehawk Neck to run what I think could be the first ever Freediving Instructor course in Tasmania. And in this course it was wonderful to welcome accomplished freedivers that had learned and developed locally, and certainly active and proud members of the local freediving community in Tasmania.

It was with pure excitement that the budding candidates joined me early on a sunny November Thursday morning at Queenscliff harbour, for what could be the first ever Freediving Instructor course held in Victoria.
Why is it that effort amplifies the taste?
The sweetness of concurring that burly long climb up into the mythical mountain tops, all the while our legs tramping and persisting with the heavy load. Or immersing into the pleasure of swimming underneath the blue mystical sea, playing with the deep-DNA urge of the body compelling us to rise to the surface and breathe.
They’re not tortures of the spirit, they’re choices to embark unto a passage into the mind and body that perhaps we wouldn’t otherwise desire…
On a cool and cloudy summer’s day, we ventured to Portsea beach located in the Mediterranean-esque Mornington Peninsula, about 1.5hrs drive from Melbourne.
